How TH Vault calculates sold-price references

Each price is a timestamped summary of a source search, not a listing, an offer, or a claim that TH Vault sells the car.

Source

TH Vault queries eBay completed and sold results for each year, model name, and Treasure Hunt type. It reads up to 60 visible result prices from that query.

Filters

The collector query removes prices below $2 and above $3,000 before calculation. It does not treat active asking prices as sold-price evidence.

Calculation

The displayed median is the 50th percentile. The low and high values are the 10th and 90th percentiles. The source-result count is displayed beside every price.

Freshness

Every aggregate stores the collection timestamp. Car pages display that check date so a reader can distinguish current data from an old estimate.

Window label

The database retains the internal period key “90d” for compatibility. The public label is “recent sold” because the source page, not TH Vault, controls the exact completed-listing window returned.

Limits

The query is not condition-graded and shipping is not normalized separately. Search results can include lot, packaging, or title ambiguity. Prices are reference data, not appraisals or sale guarantees.
